Under the theme: “An active agent for development, A City hard at work”, the Executive Mayor will outline municipal plans and report on progress made on the delivery of services.
At the state of the City address, Cllr Pakati will also unpack the City’s R11 billion budget that will be utilised in the 2022/2023 financial year and make major announcements on the Municipality’s mega infrastructure projects.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the State of the City has, for the last two years, been delivered virtually.
This year, the SOCA will be held physically at the East London ICC.
The Executive Mayor will give residents a deep analysis of the State of Buffalo City and include progress on what has been achieved so far and plans to put Buffalo City on a higher pedestal and to correct all areas of concern.
The address will be streamed live on Mpuma Kapa (Bay TV) DSTV Channel 260 and on community radio stations: Mdantsane FM and Kumkani FM and on the City’s social media platforms including this Facebook page.
