The City calls on all its citizens to celebrate the achievements, mourns losses, and redresses past inequities. The celebrations also seek to educate and deepen our understanding of society and encourages us to empathize with the experiences of material and symbolic restitution and promotes new and neglected research into our rich oral traditions and customs.
The day will have traditional activities and live performances from local groups will be the order of the day.
